Sleep Buddy

It has been a month now that I am not able to go back to my hometown...and it has also been a month that I am stuck and stress at work! The worst part is every time I go to my apartment to rest, I just couldn't because it's noisy and inconvenient!

I remember the last time I was able to sleep well...to my deepest snore and dream. It was at a friend's house after a fashion show event. Upon entering the room, I suddenly felt the warm and comfy hug of the room. It was the best room I've slept. In addition, the calmness of the sound that was in the room gave me the conclusion to MUST SLEEP.

The next day I ask what the sound was and I was introduced to a sound machine. It was from her aunt in States. It will help you sleep better and lessen stress.

There is also a white noise machine which regulates the sound in the area. It lessen the noise pollution which gives your ear comfortable sounds to hear.

These are awesome gadgets and super effective too. I must have these stuff as soon as possible...before I die because of inconvenient sleep!

A Planned Vacation To Indonesia

A couple of months ago, the family of a good friend of mine, Syarief, invited me to go with them on a vacation in Indonesia since it’s their hometown. They are planning to go there this Christmas. I was kind of excited at first because I have never experienced going outside the Philippines ever…but I know it was just a joke or something.

However, I was amazed when Syarief’s mom asked me the same thing again. This time, she was serious. She said she will help me with the processes that I need to accomplish. There are lots of promos especially that Christmas is coming. She will talk to a friend and will ask where to buy cheap tickets. I certainly said YES! Could have been my reflex…

Anyways, I am currently checking for vacation packages to Indonesia for me to make this long time dream happen. Here is travel blog that you might want to check out.

Hopefully I can finish my requirements before December and I definitely need to save for this planned vacation. Wish me luck!

Not a Blue Sunday After All

My Sunday wasn't that boring after all...

I checked PINOY WORLD yesterday and found out that I was qualified to visit Maribago Bluewaters. (My entry here: A Sunday by the Beach at Maribago Bluewater).

It was my first time and was definitely amazed by its beauty...

Before we (some CBS members and I) arrived at Maribago, we got lost somewhere in Marigondon; however, we did manage to get our path straight.

At the arrival, we were welcomed by accommodating employees and gave us our towels for the beach. Since it was hot, instead of going to the beach, we went to the pool and gave ourselves a break.

Then, we went to our luncheon buffet. I had so much fun!!!

I was also able to meet new friends/bloggers:

Audrey: Maribago Bluewater and Pinoy Bloggers
Edcel: maribago bluewater beach resort treat
Doi: Hoping to see Maribago Bluewater again

Here are some photos of our sumptuous food:

Maribago Luncheon Buffet Maribago Spicy Squid Delicious Maribago Foods Maribago Delicacies Yummy!!! Maribago Ice Cream

Yes, I have tasted each and every food on those photos and one of the best I tasted is Maribago's Ice Cream!!!

After lunch, we were able to talk about a lot of things...from SEO to Adsense to food to experiences...etc. We also had the time to watch Manny Pacquiao's win against Miguel Cotto

I definitely enjoyed and learned lots of things from our discussion.

Before we mark our footprints in Maribago, we, again, savor and enjoy the calmness of their pool.

Here is a video during the event:

The Mailbox

Mailboxes today are most of the time unused, unfortunately. This is because of the never ending technological advancement and the Internet Era. However, this doesn't apply to all places, especially to rural places.

Back when I was small in our place,
mail boxes are very common, significant...and are being used often. I remember the days when I used to check our mailbox 5 to 7 times a day because of excitement if there are letters popping out of the mailbox. Even if the letter was not for me, I would hastily go out and check the mailbox is its empty or not.

The most unforgettable thing that I could remember was I chasing the postman because he did not leave any letters in our mailbox. I screamed at the postman because he forgot to leave something for me...and I was so disappointed that there were no letters for me to check that day.

I wish to go back to a certain point in life where mailboxes are still the source of communication...simply because you can feel the sincerity of the one making the letter.

What is behind FINLUST???

I've heard this question so many times, even with my friends, asking me what is behind the title of this blog, FINLUST. Is there a secret to tell?

Well, the answer is YES! There is a story behind the word, FINLUST...and I think it's about time to do something about it.

FINLUST is composed of 2 words: Fin and Lust which means 'the end of lusting'. However, it does not end there.

So, I have decided to make it a contest.

Here are the mechanics:
  1. Make an article or a story of what you think is the real story behind the word FINLUST.
  2. Use the keyphrase, the end of lusting, targeting the homepage.
  3. Send the URL of your story or article to finlust@gmail.com
The story or the article that is most similar to the real story behind FINLUST will win the following:
  • a GLOBE TATOO
  • Php 500.00 worth of load (any network will do)
  • other freebies
The posting period is until December 14, 2009 (Monday). That will give me enough time to read all the contestants' stories. The winner will get his/her prize on Christmas, Dec 25, 2009.

Wish everyone good luck. Cheers!

Ghost Wanted - A Campfire Creative: Brother's Experiences

As a pre-Halloween special, I'll be sharing you my brother's experiences...

I've been telling my brother's experiences, having this special gift of feeling or seeing supernatural things unlike us, with most of my friends. Before, I used to neglect what my brother is saying; however, due to some heart-pounding experiences, I somehow believe him.

I could still remember those times when my brother and I, along with our neighbors, sit outside and just talk about anything, play spider-fights, or just having our good time music jamming sessions. During that time, my brother was already telling us that there was a lady on the rooftop on one of our neighbors' house. At first, we didn't bother my brother's cliche, but everytime we go out and do the the things mentioned above with our neighbors, he never misses to open the topic. In fact, there was this one time when he said that the lady was looking at us, yet we pretended to be deaf and continue with our spider-fighting. That time, our attention was at the spiders and our head was real close to the stick (like forming a circle). After a split-second, my brother jumped out from the circle with a pail skin swiftly running back home. I came home to ask what just happened and he said: He saw the lady's head rising from the ground at the center where we formed our circle. (Honestly, I was giggling to see my brother in pail white), but somehow terrified of what just happened.

He had too many experiences where it would be too detailed if I'll write it here...just like the old lady he saw real close at the window while we where watching television. He suddenly screamed and got our parent's attention...But the most unforgettable experience with my brother, that still gives me goosebumps, was the time where I arrived home seeing him at the dark portion of our house...bringing a kitchen knife with his head swaying in different direction. I asked if he's okay while slowly opening the door to exit just in case...but there was no reply. He made some steps towards me which gave me the hint to exit house. However, by the time I went out of the house, my brother stumbled on the floor throwing the knife away. I hastily took the knife and put it away. Coincidentally, mom and dad came home and saw my brother on the floor. I told them what happened and we directly went to the nearest hospital. The doctor said my brother lost oxygen in his brain causing his head to sway back and forth. However, the question that was bothering the doctor is 'How come he was able to stand and bringing a knife for a long time?'

The next day, my mom and I went back to the hospital to visit my brother...and he told us what happened. He said: 'There was this lady who told him to kill Ricky and she was here earlier before you (mom and I) came'.

My mom was really completely terrified and prayed for everything to be okay (I also joined mom in praying).

Now, the same as usual, he still is feeling and seeing some things (like the cat he keeps on telling us inside the room where we sleep), but at least it isn't like the killing stuff.

A Sunday by the Beach at Maribago Bluewater

Our home in Dumaguete has an easy access to the beach. It's just a walking distance...and I often go there to enjoy lots of things: the beach, my friends, and I also go with the fishermen early morning to place the nets. I used to be really dark because of this...yet I love doing it.

However, after staying here in Cebu, I rarely have this chance to enjoy the beach the way I enjoy it before. I keep on waiting for opportunities to grasp the beach and see the horizon again...but wait no more!

A Sunday by the Beach at Maribago Bluewater
I just heard that Maribago Bluewater is inviting all bloggers to enjoy a Sunday by the beach...and I just got so psyched for this special event...since it will be my first time to go to Maribago, if ever given a chance to be part of the said event. I would like it to be on the 15th of November (Since this will only be my available day).

I've heard so much about Maribago Bluewater from CBS and some friends and it just gives me the drive to write and join 'A Sunday by the beach at Maribago Bluewater'.

I just want to thank PinoyWorld for this heart-driving opportunity for us, bloggers, to be part of Maribago's enchanting place.

If you want to join but unsure, I highly doubt if you would still feel the same way after watching Maribago Bluewater video.

What are you waiting for, join here now!

College of Computer Studies of Sillliman University WINS Buglasan Cheerdance Competition

It was just today that I got back home to Dumaguete. I arrived at exactly 9am...just in time for the Buglasan Cheerdance Competition where our College, the College of Computer Studies (CCS), will be representing Dumaguete City.

While the people are psyched out, contestants are terrified for the great battle, especially on CCS's side since they won the Cheerdance Competition in Silliman University...and it will be a shame for our college and the school if we won't win...and since most of the people are expecting too.

Anyways, after the long wait, the decision was finally given to the public to hear.

TOP 3:

3rd - Valencia
2nd - Tanjay City
1st - Dumaguete City (CHAMPION) - also got the best in Costume

YEHEY! ANOTHER TROPHY for our College! After all the struggles and sacrifices, we are now being repaid.

See there performance during the Silliman Cheerdance Competition:

Here is their performance on the said event, Buglasan Cheerdance Copetition:

The next plan will be the NCC (National Cheerdance Competition) that will be held in Bacolod on the 8th of November (November 8, 2009). I'll be giving more details about the upcoming NCC event as soon as I'm done researching :P

Once again, Congratulations to the College of Computer Studies!!! Cheers!
